I have a whirlpool Imperial which appears to be leaking from somewhere other than the hoses. Suggestion on how to troubleshoot? The Washer is old (10 yrs) so if replacement is the solution fine, if there is a cheaper alternative I'd love to know what that is. I do aprox 2-3 loads of laundry a week.

Remove the 2 screws holding the console in, they may have trim on them.flip it up and you will see 2 metal brackets on left and right. pop thos off taking note how they are on there, disconnect connector on the top of the cabinet(door switch wires)lean cabinet foward pull towards you.it is know free of the rest of the machine. put back reverse of these directions making sure the back lines up properly with the cabinet.

I have a Whirlpool Imperial Series Ultimate Care II. It will not drain after the wash cycle. This happened suddenly. I have not noticed leaks and no water backed up in the hoses.

it will be something blocking the water exit system usually a sock gain access to the drum assembly normally at the rear of the unit you should see the exit hose if you sqeeze it and there is water in it the block is there about . Get something to collect the water and remove the assembly between the drum and the pump do it from the highest piont to allow the water to be release slowly as possible. Usually a sock !!!

During the wash cycle of the 24" combo washer dryer, it leaked

A hose inside the washer is your most likely culprit. On older whirlpool washers they used a plastic hose to run from the pump to the back case of the machine that was pretty susceptible to cracking.

Leaking water from bottom

Hello there:
If the washer leaks all the time, check these: Hot and cold water fill hoses - Check the hot and cold water hoses from the household plumbing. If either hose is leaking, tighten it or replace it, as appropriate. Main tub seal - The main tub seal is located between the transmission and the outer tub. It's the primary water seal in the outer tub for the transmission-shaft entry point. If this seal leaks, you can see the leak by opening up the machine's main access panel while the machine is full of water with a small amount of detergent in it. The leak appears at the underside of the outer tub, at or near the center. This seal is difficult to replace. You probably should call a qualified appliance repair technician. Pump - If the pump leaks, you can probably spot the leak when the tub is full of water. The pump has two or more black rubber or plastic hoses attached to it and usually has a drive belt that spins the pump. If the pump is leaking, you need to replace it. Outer tub - Over time, the steel or plastic outer tubs can rust, split, or be punctured. If this happens, you may have to replace the entire outer tub-

Replace water pump. Common problem. Unscrew the control panel ,two screws on each end. Flip control panel over and unsnap gold brackets from base to the back. Lift up housing and disconnect lid switch, remove housing. The water pump is in the front lower that has two hoses , disconnect hoses and unsnap pump. My sister fixed hers in about 25 minutes.

Leaking washer drain pump

Yes, the drain pump is a common leak area.
2 clips, 2 hoses and it pulls off.
If it has leaked for a long time you will have to get aggressive to get it off.
