Ice maker auger not moving ice when you press glass under

Remove the ice container and look in the slots or grooves where the container rests. You should find a build up of frost that is elevating the container slightly. When it is raised just a bit, the auger drive fails to engage adequately into the dispenser auger.

Use a hair dryer and a dry towel to sop up the frost melted with the hair dryer. Be careful not to use 'high' heat position as you could warp the plastic of the compartment.

Good Luck !!!

Ice maker stopped working. Arm seems stuck

Check to see if your vanes are iced in as the heater element in your ice maker may be on the fritz. This means that you may have to replace your ice maker. Take a hair dryer and direct the heat to the ice tray for a while to see if the ice will thaw enough to allow the ice maker vanes to rotate and re lift the stop arm. If this works and it refreezes again and will not ezect the ice cubes then the ice maker will have to be replaced.

Frost in back of frost free freezer, ice maker not working, frig temp not cold enough

Whats happening is the defrost heater has failed. It is causing ice to build in the freezer and that is stopping ice production and fresh food chilling. Solution: Remove panel to evaporator and replace heater. Use hair dryer to melt ice. I have your repair manual: HERE

An air conditioning heating and ventilation expert named Dr Z normally makes HVAC videos but his neighbor's ice box did the same as yours and he had a chance to check it out and made this short film.He calls it his HVAC Refrigerator repair I thought it was pretty cool, cause it gives a good idea what is involved in this repair. OUR ADMIRAL ICE MAKER HASNT DROPPED ICE IN ABOUT 2-4 HRS. WE ALWAYS ADJUST THE ARM MANUALLY WHEN NEEDED AS THERE SOMETIMES IS SOME ICE CUBE BUILD UP. THAT DOSENT SEEM TO BE THE PROBLEM NOW. THE TRAY IS...

They sometimes get frosted up and don't want to work the motor properly...if you can get the face of it off, take a hair dryer and heat it up until the frost melts off...don't spin the fan motor if you have one on that unit. Then put it bad on and see if that will help if it doesn't you may have to replace the whole unit. They run around $190 if you do it yourself...not too hard of a job.

No water to the Ice Maker

sorry to hear that i hope i still can help check the fill tube that fills your ice maker see if it is frozen if it defroated with a hair dryer if there is no frost then you might have a bad water valve you see there are 2 selenoids on valve one for dispenser and the other one for the ice maker so if you don't get water it could be the valve look at the ice maker are the forks pointing up or down if they are down then you have a bad module on ice maker that is the front part of it. if they are pointing to 1oclock then check valve and tube
