MN-620 Problem

By Hart - usenet poster

The internet started to not
work so I unplugged my cable modem and the wireless base to restart them. I
plugged back the modem then the wireless basestation but the router became
weird. Power light would stay orange while the rest of the lights would
blink and that would go on forever. Is the firmware corrupted? or something
broke? Please help fast I need the router to work very soon. No computer
settings were change before this happened.

You can try re-uploading the current firmware in disaster recovery mode.
First, get the current 1.09x firmware and extract the dlf file to your hard
drive with WinRAR

1. Set static IP for PC at 192.168.2.42
2. Browse to #
3. Provide path to DLF file
4. Click OK
5. Wait for power LED to turn green
6. Change PC back to DHCP

If there is no UI at step 2, you will need to call Microsoft Product Support
and see if they will replace the unit.

Yes I have, and it will NOT work. The power light stays amber even after 1
hour after plugging the power back in.

Have you tried a factory reset by holding an unfolded paper clip in
the reset hole for more than 5 seconds?
