I have someone with a home office working remotely. He has a router with an hp laptop and a Dell 1720dn laser printer. The laser printer is directly plugged into hub that plugs into the wireless router (so ethernet cable connection). The laptop wirelessly connects. He had a power outage and the printer no longer prints, nor appears as connected on the wireless laptop. The printer appears fine and has the green ready light. The wirelessess computer is fine and up to date. The hub shows the network card for the printer as active as does the card light on the printer itself. Previously the printer was given a standard ip for a home network,192.168.0.2, this is no longer recognized on the tcp/ip printer connection nor from the Dell utility. Is it possible the power reset gave the printer a different ip? How can I reconnect the printer to the wireless laptop for printing?

I have a Ricoh Aficio SP C420DN printer. Instructions for its use that come up on my computer screen are not in English. I have re-loaded it and thought I specified English as the language to be used, but that didn't work. Also, anything I print has faint lines running horizontally across the page. Any help you can give will be appreciated. Claud V. Mott
