Try downloading it and then when installing... stops and says cannot install??? 3 times now??? help... my computer is soooo slow... I maxed the RAM at 2 gb.. everything else original??
Have you downloaded the right BIOS for your computer and do you really need to update this?
According to the HP support web site above the only version is 3.09 dated 21 June 2006 - if you already have this version, this may be why you cannot update it.
If your problem is that your computer is very slow, then updating the BIOS will not make any difference - you should concentrate on cleaning up and optimising the Windows file system.
Download and install the following utility programs that can help you to improve the performance of your computer.
Advanced System Care Free - run the Deep Care option of this utility.
DiskMax - run a Detailed Scan and let it clean up all profiles, updates, cache etc.
Smart Defrag - run a Defrag and Fast Optimize
CCleaner - use this to compliment the above plus use the Tools Uninstall option to remove any unwanted software programs, browser tool bars etc. Also use the Tools Startup option to disable any of the programs being started on every boot that don't need to be, i.e. things like QuickTime, Adobe Reader etc.

go to device manager and check if the sound drivers are installed or not. if they aren't try installing them. if they are then check for confilcts. if there are no conflicts, then the problem might come from the sound pots. try to use a microphone to speak and check if the voice streem signall you that there are entries of sound or not. if there are then the sound out port is damaged and you will need an adon card installed on it.

try removing your hard disk and boot the system if the process is fast and you can enter the bios setup then probably your hdd needs a service
