Have a Kenmore Oasis 2703 Top Loader. The spin cyle started getting very loud about a month ago. It is not that is off balance or that the machine is no level. When the spin cyle reached top speed is sound like a bad bearing on a car. You have to close the door to the laundry room because you have a hard time hearing TV two rooms away.
Any help is appreciated!
Brad
Your probably right as most washing machines use bearings and they do wear out rather quickly on some machines ,depending on how yours was put together will determine on how easy it is to change , some manufactures made it much more easy than others .If you remove the back panel (that's if it has one )and after it has gone through its spin cycle and you have turned of the power you should be able to feel around where the bearing is incased to see if it has generated an amount of heat even though they are usually encased in oil as this would be a indication that it has failed, if you watch the machine clicking into spin mode ( by looking at the motor etc with the back cover removed)you will also get a better idea as to what parts have come into play and pinpoint the problem area .

you will have to access the bottom of the agitator from the back of the machine. Either you have loose bolts or else you agitator bearings are shot

Hello
My Kenmore Oasis is doing the same thing. It seems to have started after I ran the clean cycle. I also recently had to have a electronic part replaced, cost almost $350 with labor! The loud spin noise started right after that, but that is also the same time I ran the clean cycle.
