Pentair IntelliFlo VS-3050 & VS+SVRS Variable Speed Pump - Logo

The pump keeps saying clear drain alarm everyday no matter how much you clean out the filters. Plus it doesn't have as much suction power as it used too, even running at 2700 rpm.

We've had this pump for a 2 years now. First year worked flawless, now it keeps screwing up. Everyday it's the drain is clogged. I can't even program to run sweep anymore, because i never know when it will just shut off for no reason.

SOURCE: I have intelliflo VS+SVRS pool

There is either something blocking the suction side of this pump (blocked valve, strainer, strainer basket, leaves on main drain.) or the pump is not getting primed in the aloted amount of time. You can increase the priming time on the pump, or manually prime it, or just turn off the svrs feature temporarily until you get a good prime again. If you need the manual to figure out how to do these things, here is the link.

If your RPM is low, you will need to increase pressure to the cleaner. If the sweep hose is laying on the side and not sweeping, you will need to adjust the screw that holds it on to get it to a gentle sweeping motion. It is also possible that you have too much hose weight on the pool cleaners sweep hose. Try removing some of the weight and seeing if that changes.

SOURCE: the pump keeps trying to prime. There is no air

Most of the time you are sawing air from thpumo lid. Hav you lubricated the o-ring in the lid? If that doesn't work, keep working your way forward and lubricate the 3 way valves as well.

Try these... -Clean out the drain pump inside and below.

- Pull the suction boot off the drain pump, clean out any gookus.

- Blow through the drain hose starting from the connection at the pump.
make sure it is not clogged follow the line from under the sink and disonnect it from under the sink and make sure it is clear
- If all else checks out, replace the pump.

The Duet hides the pump/filter access behind the lower panel. Most LG, Miele and ASKO washers have it right up front for easy access. I guess keeping such a base element out of view helps sales.

Long Drain error code.
If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and "F/02" is flashed.
Press, PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.
NOTE: After 4 minutes the "Sud" error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the "F2 error code" will be displayed.
Potential Causes:(1) Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
(2) Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
(3) Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
If the above does not correct the problem replace the pump

Washer code is f21

Hi
F21 error means that the drain time has exceeded 8 minutes; this will turn off the water valves. Press PAUSE/CANCEL two times to clear the display. If errors still remains then please check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked. Disassemble the washer by removing the back from the washer and check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is draining. Also inspect the pump filter for foreign objects. Before disassembling remember to turn off the power and disconnect the washer. If it still doesn't help then there is an issue with the pump and you'll need to replace it. Hope this helps... I have a 1776 Asko model & it doesn't finish its cycle-code mesage f-2 keeps appearing. Can you help me out.

Hi
F2 is a drain error and dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller & clean the chopper assembly. Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

I have a 20,000 gal in ground pool w/ Hayward 36 sq ft de upright filter, Hayward Vari-Flo valve. Actual suction at the skimmer has gotten very weak, (filters and traps clean) It does better in...

You say that you can see a large flow through the pump cover but that water must be coming from the pool somehow. It must be coming through the main drain. If you turn the main drain off then the flow from the skimmer should increase considerably. If it doesn't the issue could be caused by a nearly plugged line between the skimmer basket and the pump. I have had similar symptoms and I started by using a drain jet device on a hose to force water backwards from the pump to the skimmer with the main drain valve turned off. I couldn't clear the plug so I had to dig the line up and found a bad area of the piping where it made a reduced pipe size 90 degree turn. Sycamore bark, leaves and twigs were stuck at that pinch point.

I hope this helps.

My pump is running and water is returning to the pool but there is no suction.

Are you saying there is 'no suction' or there is 'little suction'? If your pump is running and water is going back to the pool, that water is coming from somewhere ... probably being pulled from the pool. Is this a new pool? If not, did it operate properly last year? Are you getting air into your system?

You don't say much about your pool ... is the suction line attrached to a skimmer? Two skimmers? Two skimmers and a bottom drain? Attached to the bottom drain? I don't understand why you are reporting no suction since there is a discharge ... Is this pool in the ground or above ground? Do you have one circulator pump or do you have multiple pumps? If you have two skimmers and are trying to vacuum, close the shutter on the other skimmer or put a plug into it. Make sure the plug is the proper size, you don't want to get the plug pulled into the system!

Perhaps there is not enough suction for you to vacuum? If your suction is attached to several points in your pool, can you cut back on the other ports? For example, if you are drawing from the bottom and a skimmer, can you shut the bottom drain off?

Have you checked your impeller for hair clogging? What about your filter, if sand, have you back washed? What is your discharge pressure? If DE, how is the DE doing? Might it be due for a change? If a cartridge filter, is your cartridge clean? Of course dirty filters will cause high pressure and poor flow of water. If your impeller is clogged with hair, that will impede the flow of water.

Fill in some of thedetails and I will continue to try to assist you. Thank you for your interest in FixYa.com
