My sylvania net book has a black screen and the hard drive and the fan run what can be the problem

When you turn it on, as soon as the very first screen appears press F11. Than it should take you straight to factory restore settings. P.S. This will delet everything it so safe your stuff in Hard drives or flash drives.

Remove one stick of ram and test, if no! take the second piece out and replace the first one and power up, if no! it means you have hard drive issues or windows files are corrupted, you will need a professional to take it further.

If you can get the netbook to boot to an external cd drive it should work. 1.6ghz and 512mb (the minimum specs for this netbook) are more than enough to load and run XP. The problems would come up if there are no drivers for the hardware.

The SYNET07526 is a very limited net book. It is more like a crippled smart phone than a net book. It does not have enough memory to load and maintain a full operational network site, rather it has to go to a site that supports a smart phone and limited information. Not all sites have a smart phone network and your book does not have an application that can handle a conversation on face book. You are limited with what applications you have on your net book.

Hello Jeffrey - Absolutely not! Your netbook has a 30 GB hard drive and you can literally store thousands of articles and still have plenty of disk space left.

If it were me I'd take it back and get my money back. Those little Sylvania's aren't worth the money anyway. They're slow for one. And they run Windows CE which is so old as to be laughable.

The WiFi software that is embeded into the OS does not work very well. Fortunately digitalgadget.com has a download that somewhat fixes this problem fairly well. The new download is not totally goof proof, but you can work with it.
Go to: http://www.digitalgadgets.com/netbooks/update.html and download the indicated update. You can copy it to a thumb drive and connect the thumb drive to your Sylvania , find it under My Computer and then copy it to your
desktop and run it from there.
