Boot your system in safe mode by pressing f8 key repeatedly during the booting process then select safe mode and press enter then go to system restore option, and select system restore, then select some previous date where system is working fine, restore it
how do you like the solution please rate it

Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API. I have an Aspire one netbook without a CD rom drive. Can I get a recovery disk or can I send comp in for repairs? Warranty expired.

The program you are trying to execute needs more resources than your Netbook has available.

Your options are as follows;
1.)Increase/Upgrade the RAM in both size and speed.
2.)Increase/Upgrade the Hard drive in both size and speed, 7200RPM drive is faster.
3.)Reinstall the Windows Operating System, a computer technician will be able to do this. Contact the place of purchase in this regard.

Yes your Netbook computer needs some attention from a computer technician.

Kind Regards

On start up the system boots and windows loads but wont finish. The message ''Insufficient system resources exist to complete API.'' it comes in a box headed Isass.exe- System Error Any help would be...

When windows tries to fire up, does it ask you whether to boot up in safe mode or normal (would be a black and white MS DOS screen with no mouse functions)? If not, you need to reboot your computer and go into boot options. There should be a little comment line in one corner of the screen before windows loads that says something like F2 Setup F12 Boot Menu. Do you get that once it has begun trying to execute windows?

Every time I attempt to log on, I get the message "insufficient system resources exist to complete API. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? What has happened? How can I fix?

"insufficient system resources exist to complete API." This problem occurs because the Windows kernel power manager cannot obtain the memory resources that are required to prepare the computer to hibernate. When you experience this problem, the hibernate feature is not available on the computer until you restart the computer.

This problem typically occurs when the computer uses 1 gigabyte (GB) or more of RAM.

you can fix this problem by downloading hot fix through this link below

hope that was use full to you

Can't load computer in safe mode

I'm assuming you have a Windows XP installation on your laptop. If that is so, than I would suggest you to first try and restore the windows to a previously known good configuration. It's located on the same window as the Safe Mode option.

If that doesn't help, as it sounds like you're experiencing lack of memory, you might want to install the windows again, or at least restore it from the Windows installation disc.

Please let me know on any developments.

Shoot it?
Yes, this is one solution. Not very cost effective though.
(Tempting though, huh? One 12 gauge blast, and.....WAIT! Back to the solution, lol!)

No, I suggest you install the Hotfix from Microsoft instead.
