You might try unplugging the wires from the sub, turn it back on with the wires disconnected- if the noise comes back the amp is probably bad - if the noise doesn'tcome back -turn your head unit off and reconnect the sub- if the noise comes then your sub's voice coil could be shorted- if the noise comes back you should try a different speaker to compare- if the noise still there with the test speaker your problem is definately the amp.

I have a kenwood kac-7202 and it keeps blowing the in-line fuse

Are all the wires hooked in right? On the bare parts of the wires, are there any 2 wires touching? Most importantly, do you have the correct fuse for the stereo?

Where do i connect the power control wire to ? I have a kenwood amp kac 7202, I'm connecting it to a stock cd receiver in toyota corolla 2004

Hello sophnettliss,

Most stock receivers do not have a dedicated amp remote lead and your 2004 Corolla is no exception.

The amp remote can be connected to any switched and fused 12V + source including the OEM receiver accessory wire which is the gray wire in your receiver harness.

Hope this helps.

05 ford escape wont start. jump started it and it started fine but only runned for a few minutes and the engine started to stall and went off. tried to start it again and it wont turn with the same...

okay try this....talk to your parts store and get a battery load tester, and find out if the battery is indeed dead. My guess is it sounds like the Altenator is dying. they are around 50-100 and can be install by a pro in minutes.

Kenwood kac-7202 wirng 4 subs

look at the Z [impedance] specs for the amp. Look at the Z for the speakers. You may eventually have to wire them in a series-parallel config or risk blowing your output transistors.

Due to the utilization of so many drivers, your power demands are limited. The more drivers you utilize, the more volume loss. Bass response requires a lot of power (W) in which to drive.

Do not worry about paper or polyprop/carbonate structures... focus on your impedance issue or risk frying the output transistors in the long run [thermal runaway].
