Hi,
I am unable to turn on my notebook, sometimes it starts but automatically it gets off after 5-10 minutes.
I checked the power adapter, it seems there is no issue with it.

Kindly help me in this regards.

Take out the battery of your laptop then put it again, also check whether the cooling fans are working or not, or
you can also check the status of your battery by putting some other working battery

HP G60-120US 15.6" Widescreen Laptop PC Notebook: when trying to turn the computer on, the 3 lights ...

Due to regular use of the notebook, some static charges tend to stay in the computer, and sometimes results in not allowing the computer to function properly.

Please follow the power drain procedure to confirm the same:

1. Disconnect the AC Adapter.
2. Remove the Battery.
3. Hold the Power button down for 30seconds to 1 minute.
4. Put the Battery in.
5. Reconnect the AC adapter.
6. Turn on the Notebook power.
7. Restart the Notebook.

If the Notebook boots up you may fix the battery back. Try restarting the computer only with the AC power, without the battery & vice-versa. If the issue still persists then I request you to reset the memory modules, as sometimes the memory module connection get loose.

Dell Inspiron 1525 not turning on

hi. I suspect that you have either a dead battery or just need a reset. unplug the power cord and then remove the battery. wait two minutes and reinstall the battery.
this will reset everything. now try turning it on. if it won't come on plug in the power cord and charge the battery for 30 minutes before attempting to power up.

Won't stay on when plugged in. Battery? Power cord is new, could it be the power port on the computer?

Hi !
It might be your power adaptor !

I am not sure, but usually it should have a red/yallow led while charging and green when charged !
Read your manual.

Also, check power settings in control pannel.
There, you can find power schemes that turn off your laptop automatically when some time pass.

Set NEVER when plugged on power!

Check screen saver settings (and turn it off - NONE)

Also it should not turn off if there is any user activity!

At the end, if you are sure that there is no problem with your power unit, than checking and setting power OPTIONS in control pannel, should solve your proplem.

Regards.

Aspire 7720-6569 laptop automatically shutoff and won't turn on.

hi,
Please try following DIY
1.Please remove the battery and then press the power button for a minute without connecting the adaptor then refix the battery and check whether it is working.
2.Check after removing the battery with adaptor only.
3.If then also it is not working check whether the num lock is responding if yes then this is a RAM refixing or changing issue otherwise a motherboard issue if the adaptor is working fine.

Shutting off

i have the same problem...laptop randomly shuts down, but its even done it within a minute of turning it on so i don't think its a heat issue. Sometimes it'll run for over an hour with no problem and never shut down, but other times it randomly shuts down sometimes within a minute, sometimes maybe 10 mins, sometimes 30 mins or more ...its maddening! i'd love to find a solution if anyone's found one. Thanks.
