Question about GE (PSS26MSRSS) Side by Side Refrigerator

GE Profile PSS26SGRB SS small water seep

I have a GE Profile PSS26SGRB SS (4 yr old). Recently I have noticed that water is seeping throught the bottom of the water despenser side cover even though there is not collection of water in the water collection tray or the area below on which the tray sits on. The cover when pressed seems to be not flush with the door. Is this a problem with the gasket seal between the side door & despenser side cover ? How can I fix it. Please help.. TIA

It is comming out from the bottom of the rectangular SS trim which frames the water/ice dispenser. Not sure if it is a leak, as it is so slow and the color is milky/sticky like mixed with glue.. Thought it might be condensation. How do I remove this SS trim?

What you think is probably correct. Water valves can seep water and freeze the fill tube. Remove the ice maker and the fill tube remove ice from the fill tube and replace the water valve.

GE Side by Side Refrigerator seeping water onto door

Hey, thanks for the photos. Have seen this problem before. Seal the recess area, at the front edge and the front corners, with a little clear silicone, to prevent water from getting behind the stainless steel door panel. I've heard people say to seal the rectangular holes along the bottom side of the door panel recess cut out also, but that shouldn't be necessary, as if you still had water behind the panel, it would just then seep down behind the SS door panel and continue to cause problems. The real cure is to keep water from getting in there in the first place.

GE Profile Side By Side leaking water on to floor

there must be a hole in the lower back of the freezer compartment that carries the water to the drip pan when the fridge goes through the defrost cycle. Water on the floor means that hole is plugged and the water seeps through the doors. See the owner's manual - it will describe this issue. The fix is to have the blockage removed by squirting a solution of hot water and baking sode with a turkey baster or a similar injector.

Power is on but nothing is working, not cold ,no water, no ice

Sounds like the unit needs a reset of sorts, Get your food into another refrigerator or ice chests and unplug the unit. let it stand open for several hours (just in case the vents are iced) and then plug it back in.
