Hi

Sounds like the aperture of your lens is stuck open and overexposing the images. Try taking a picture in very bright light like outdoors, is it completely washed out? Now take another picture indoors in much less light, is it NOT washed out but has the lines?

From our experience repairing cameras this is the lens aperture and the lens must be replaced.

Good luck

Horizontal lines/overexposure

Your camera seems to be having a shutter problem. It could be some particles/dirt which might not be allowing the shutter blade move freely or it could be a broken flex problem. Either ways, a non technical person will not be able to do much and access the shutter. You need to seek a camera technician's help for cleaning otherwise replacement of the shutter unit.
