Just buy or change your headphones with a new one to be able to use your device again.

My Sansa will only play through the right speaker/headphone unless you jiggle the cord and hold it in the perfect spot, then it will play through both speakers/headphones. Is there a way to fix this...

This is a common problem, it is the lead in the headphones get a new headphone set that will sort you,IF it is the actual jack, soldered onto the motherboard, this then will required to be resoldered. I think, however just replacing them will work fine.

Choppy audio on Sansa e260.

To me it seems like the head phone jack is loose, it might need to be re soldered and then things would be back to normal. HOpe this works.

Jack problem

This unsually indicates a bad connection with the jack. Not the headphone jack, but the connector on the player. My son had that issue so I ended up opening the unit up and resoldering the connector to the circuit board. Don't recommend doing that. You'll need to have a technician do that or if it's still under warranty take it in.

Loose headphone connection on mp3

Replacing a headphone jack on a Sansa is a risky endeavor that is bound to do further damage to your player - the original jacks are not orderable directly from Sandisk. Your best bet is to call Sandisk and get an in-warranty replacement.

Hi, I have the same problem but sometime is the left channel & sometime the right channel. I tested multiple headphones and it's alway the same problem. FYI the problem begin after a firmware update. With the original firmware the problem never append. It start with the firmware ver. 01.02.15E. Today I have downloaded the new firmware version (01.02.18E). I hope it fix this annoying bug. Bye

Audio Problems with Sansa e260

apparently you may need to defragment your player with disk defragmenter because the mp3 has a hard time getting the pieces of your file fast enough to not hear an almost unnoticeable pop or crackle. if this isn't the reason, it is probably the jack, try a different pair of headphones even. or check the settings on the program synchronizing as it may be syncing the files at a noticeably lower sound quality. Or you are drag and dropping which may not be recommended for inexperienced users. no offence :).
