Bios version A02 password, how to get passed ?

Remove the Power Cord, remove the Case, turn computer onits side so you can see inside (you might need a flashlight). Remove theCMOS Battery which is a silver battery about the of a nickel that is onthe motherboard. You will need a flathead screw driver to pop it out. Leaveit out for an hour or two and then put it back and reboot the computer. When you reboot you will have to go into theBios or System Setup because the computer will have forgotten the date, timeand bios password.

Computer has been working fine. Now all of a

Hi,
When system boots press the key to get into BIOS. Usually it is 'Del' Key. Once you get into BIOS, if not asking a password, get into admin menu and set the password option disabled.
If asking for a password while you get in to BIOS and you dont know the password, the only option is to reset the BIOS.
To reset BIOS u've to remove the back cover and remove and re-insert the CMOS battery while the laptop is powered off. After that, power on the laptop and set the bios to normal setting, especially the time. This wont harm any of your data.
Please come back and vote for me if this finds helpful for you. Thnx

** I have downloaded this file myself from the link above and scanned it with microsoft one care, it came up clean **

Some Toshiba's can be convinced to bypass the startup BIOS password if you hold down the <LEFT-SHIFT> key while booting the system.

Black screen with password= in white writing

you have a bios or startup password ( assuming startup password ) so if you go into the bios of the laptops / computers and disable the startup and passwords ( except the bios password ) it should be fine.

My computer has a password in the BIOS Setting. i forgot it

Do you know what the password is? If so, enter the bios and change it. When asked for a new password, just hit enter. If it asks a second time to confirm the password, just hit enter again.

Good luck
