Question about D-Link AirPlus DI-524 Wireless Router
O.0sorry but wtf u need the ssid for?u just need to open up a intenet browser and type in 192.168.1.1 and you need to be physicaly connected to the router.and when you connect to it the log in info is usually id=admin password=password.thats the way my netgear was setup.also on some routers it tells you the info on the back of them.this website actually tells you pretty well how to assign a wep, ssid, password, and other things. http://resnet.uci.edu/routersetup.asp...i hope this has helped and cleared up the question that should have been easy to answer.

If you are not using the wireless part I highly recomment disabling the wireless part. Just log into your router web console, click on the wireless button, and select disable. If you are using it you can enable the security, change the SSID, and disable the broadcast of the SSID.
Also, be sure and change the default admin password. Write down the new password and store it in a safe place. If you ever forget it your can reset the router.
