Question about AOC LM 720 17" Flat Panel LCD Monitor
Im not sure how old the monitor is, but it's always worked fine until now. I cant get the screen to show anything but a flash once in a while. The power light just blinks green about once a second and none of the monitors buttons seem to be responding at all. I've hooked it up to two different computers now and i just get the same thing, so as far as i know the original computer it goes to still works fine, just not the monitor. Please help if you can.
Sorry to say, but it sounds like you power board is due for an overhaul.
It should be fixable since it does show signs of a little life left in it.
It would have to be taken apart. A visual may tell for sure.
Look for bulging capacitors (canister looking things) This a sign of a typical failure.
Of course, not all capacitors bulge when they go bad. That would make things too simple !!
