When trying to use MP3 player in Media Player, I get an error message as
follows:
A null reference pointer was passed to the stub.
I cannot download to my MP3 player which is a Lyra RCA RD1076a.
I have installed Version 10, but still to no avail. I am using Windows XP
Home Edition. It was working until I had to do a reinstall of XP and now I
can no longer burn to my MP3 player.
Does anyone have a 'fix' for this problem? I have researched online and
still have not come up with a solution. Would appreciate any help you are
able to give me. Also, if you need more information, I will be glad to offer
it.

Install/update the motherboard chipset drivers.
Update to at least SP1(a).
BTW: You do not use MP3 players like CD/DVD burners. These work like hard
drives and you use "copy and paste."
