Have you installed any application prior to the issue? have you tried restarting your system and check if the printer is working? You may need to check also if the printer is properly connected to your computer and make it sure that it is connected to the correct port.
You may try the following steps below.
1. Check if the printer is installed your computer. Click on the start button then go to control panel, on the left side click on "classic view". Look and open the printer icon. Check if your HP 1210 printer icon has a green check mark.
2. If your HP 1210 printer icon doesn't have a check mark. Right click on the icon then set it as your primary default printer.
3. Restart your system.
