Question about Hitachi 60V500 60" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
My TV has developed a yellow spot in the center of the screen about 3' long and 2' wide. As white images move into this are they turn yellow and then again white as they move out of this area. From previous discussions you posted I assume I have a faulty light engine. Is this a common problem with LG? Thx.

most manufactures say not to have a still image on the screen for more than 15% of your viewing time. to fix this you will have to replace the optical assy. i did come across a sony projection where the burn in was actually on the screens themselves. the only thing you can try is to put an all white video pattern on your tv for at least 48 hrs.
