Chat session ended by mistake. I need help with getting my Garmin GPSMAP 60 CX up and running. 1. I have successfully loaded Trip and Waypoint Manager on the computer 2. I have the unit hooked up to the...

You cannot load maps to the unit using the Trip and Waypoint Manager software. That software only does what it's called - it transfers routes and waypoints. To install maps onto your GPS, you will need Mapsource, which normally comes with the maps. Once it's installed on your PC, you hook up your GPS with a mini-USB cable, choose which maps you want transferred to the unit, and then the Mapsource software will knit the map segments together and transfer them over to the unit. Hope this helps.

Cant acquire satellite

first thing you need to do, is make sure the battery is fully charged. a low battery will cause slow down or prevent the satellites from linking up to your nuvi.

whether that cures the problem or not, go HERE and download the Garmin Web updater and install it on your computer and once the program is running, hook up you nuvi via the usb cable to your computer. the updater will find any available updates for your nuvi automaticly.

no sense searching the garmin site for something that may or may not be there when the updater does it for you.

Cant down load anything

The minimum requirements may call for USB 2.0, And not the older, slower 1.1, some devices will work with both, and some will not, the easiest way to tell for sur is to hook it up to another newer PC and if it works then you know you need to upgrade your PC with some usb 2.0 ports, NOT JUST A USB HUB, this is an internal upgrade. Thanks for the fixya rating if this helps.

I need to updates my c330 gps please

I take it that you have a Garmin Street Piolt? Do you have a computer with a free USB port and a dial up service or DSL? It's easy..... Turn your computer ON and plug the USB cable into your computer, then plug the other end into you GPS unit. The GPS will turn ON and you computer will show you have a new device hooked up next go to your web brosser and do a shearch for Once you are at there homme page, click on up-dates, then click on unit up-dates and follow instuction on the screen. You can also down load the web up-date program. It's a little faster and easier then going trough the home page... Good Luck
