Look on the side of your SD card for a tiny slide switch. Gently slide this switch to the other "unlocked" position. Insert the card in your camera and try it out.

Camera cards are never to be formatted on the computer....only in the camera. "card error" usually always means you need to format the card in the camera. This will erase it so download any pics you want to save first.

I get a "Card locked"

Move the tiny slide switch on the side of the card to its other position. Also, you should only be deleting pictures from your card using your camera's delete or format functions. Deleting from the computer may eventually corrupt your card. For more info, see this link.

I have a fujifilm s1000 fd and i used a card reader to download the pictures from my camera(i specify that i have a SanDisk memory card), because i can't download them using the cable ,it just downloads...

Your computer and your camera use different operating systems. If you try to put pics and videos on a card using the computer and then try to play it in your camera, you take the risk of corrupting the card and the camera. Also, if each time you remove the card reader from the computer, you don't use the "safely remove hardware" function, you corrupt the card further. These are probably the reasons you're having problems.

First, do you know what cord you are using to connect? For me, I use a SanDisk connector, where you put the memory card right into t he devise.

Help...it want my pictures!!

I have a SanDisk 8G SD card that worked in my camera, but my card reader would not read, so I could not put the on my computer. I put the SD card back in the camera and could still view all of my photos, so I ran a cable from my camera to the computer (one end of the cable was USB and the other end was something smaller that would fit into the port on my camera, I don't know what it is called). The computer was able to read all of my photos through my camera, so I downloaded everything through the camera to the computer.
