COLOR DOES NOT PRINT, NEW CARTRIGE INSTALLED

When printing any text color the print was a shade of light pink and any blue was blank. I repaced the cartrige and I don't get any color at all now. The black is normal.

I attempted to print a page with light purple type and it printed out a ghost of very light purple, a complete page but unreadable without bright light. The black border was perfect. The cartridge is a remanufacured by West Coast Office.

Hello,

1.- Take out the new cartridge.
2. Put in a cup boiling WATER
3.- Put the print surface the cartridge over the water to receive the STEAM a couple of minutes (Make sure that do not put the cartridge into de water)
4. Reinsert the cartridge and try again

If the cartridge doesn't work, need to be replaced. Sometimes (happened several times to me) the NEW cartridges coming defectuose and doeesn't work. Simply return the cartridge to the store and ask for replace.

I have had the same problem with my old HP printer, it was the ribbon that connects the cartridge to the circuit board, it is what moves with print head as the printer prints, it is the weak link, you can replace it, contact HP web site parts dept for the Price and availability of the printer circuit ribbon.

Take out the cartridge. Let it sit on a papertowel soaked in warm water for 5-10 minutes.
If the 3 colors are in there they will show on the towel.
If one or two colors do not show then the jets are clogged.
If you get all colors. Wipe the contacts on the cartrige clean of possible old ink and the cartrridge carrier too.
Put it in the unit, and try to print a heavily colored page in high quality. This should free up the cartridge.

PS: the clean cartridge feature should be here:

Start -settings-printers- right click on your printer- go to properties then look for services.

Try updating your printer drivers:

Create a new folder on your desktop and name it newhpdrivers(substitute your manufacturer in new name). Un-intall printer and printer software completely. Go to manufacturers website and navigate to their drivers/downloads or support menu. Select your model, choose the relevant software and download to the new folder you created on your desktop. Power down your computer. Reconnect the printer to the computer and turn printer on. Windows will detect new hardware and ask if you have the manufacturers install cd or a location to check for install files. Direct the wizard to your new software, follow the rest of the setup instructions and your done

Hi

Well.. I would check the followiing:

1) did you take off all the little tabs, etc from the new ink cartridges?

2) are all the cartridges in teh correct spot? Sometimes having one off will force the others to not go

3) are all the cartridges seated correctly? Try removing them and putting them all back in

4) try turning the printer and PC on/off..

5) check the driver.

6) remove cartridge and clean the head and seated the cartridge and then check it.

thank you

Always use genuine ink cartridge. Re manufactured, refurbished doesn't work good.

Print keeps fading, even though using new ink

check your printer settings, make sure color only is not checked off, or if you mainly print black and white documents, you should have that option checked, you may have to go into advance printer options to do this.

I bought new ink black and color but i try to print in pink and i can't how can i print in pink

Hi alexgallo01
Do you get other colours except pink?
If that is the case, reasons could be:
1. there is not enough RED or BLUE in the cartridge.
2. you haven't selected pink colour on the text or images you are trying to print.
If you are typing a document highlight the text you want in pink, and choose PINK color for the font.
Then print the document. The printer will use color closest to your choice, if it does not have the exact color.
Hope this will help.
If it help you, please give a rating

Everything printing in PINK

Assuming you have successfully eliminated cartridge/print head problems, the only other thing to try is to delete the printer software and reinstall [Start/Printers and faxes -right click on the printer icon click delete- install new printer -Have the software disk and handy or select from list- select maker, select model,] I suspect the problem is still print head/cartridge however
