The pilot on my Procom QL300TYLA will not light. It appears that no propane is getting to the pilot. I tried lighting the pilot and burner with a BBQ lighter but nothing. No propane getting to the unit....

sounds like you have a blocked pilot injector. normally part of the pilot head. if you can remove it , blow it out with compressed air but it must be removed from the pilot head. commonly known as a Pilot restrictor,Pilot spud or Pilot injector

Remove it and take it to a good hardware store that sells gas heaters. You can also look up on the net at houseneeds.com and other sites specializing in repair parts.

I want to convert a Procom QN300TYLA natural gas stove/heater to propane. What parts are need to be changed and where can I get them? Also, I would like add a blower and remote control to control the temp...

You can't. You need an LP gas valve which costs almost as much as a new unit. Pressures are different and orifices need to be changed, the the pressure needs to be reset. Just buy a new unit and be safe.

Doesn't turn off

only three options here first check for shorted wires , second bad thermostat (try unplugging thermostat wires one at a time if possible to see if unit turns off, this will also tell you if the gas valve is stuck open if you take all the wires off the thermostat and the thing still reuns, ) good luck.

PROCOM QL300TYLA

The QL300 has a range of 20,000 to 30,000 btus. That shouldn't be too big for your 300 square foot room with high ceilings and a loft. It has a thermostat, so it will shut off when the room gets warm. 1 pound of propane contains about 21,000 btus, so you will be burning 1 to 1.5 pounds each hour that the stove is running.
