Problem with operating new dishwasher:

" "

dishwasher was purchased Oct. 3 / 08

light above the selected touch pad does not come on when option is selected.
" reset " does not work.

when using the " light wash " cycle the dishwasher also goes through the ' rinse only ' & ' plate warmer ' cycles.
I have to pull the plug to stop the machine or it goes on forever.

I would appreciate any help with these problems.
