Erractic Lines on the screen and the fact that you are having problems booting means that your memory is bad. You can check this by powering off the laptop, turn it over and open the cover that houses the memory. If you have more that 1 stick of memory, try one at a time to see whoch one is failing.

Hi, I need help, my pc freezes and I cant move the mouse or do anything else, I have to restart it. Please Help me.

Start/Run... Run msconfig. On General tab, select Diagnostic Startup. Reboot. Use the computer in this state for as long as the freeze usually appears.
If no freeze, return to msconfig General tab. Selective startup, uncheck Startup.
Repeat reboot and trial usage. If no freeze, check normal startup. On startup tab uncheck everything that looks non-essential. Reboot and retest. When the computer seems "fixed" recheck one startup item at a time. Repeat your timed test until the issue reappears. When it does, the latest startup item you enabled is the cause.

If it's still under warranty, take it into the shop for repairs.

I was to reboot/get into recovery on my advent 7087 f10 doesnt work!

There are two ways to start the recovery -Restart your computer. Then Press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting System Recovery" is displayed.
second one is
In Windows by clicking: Start / All Programs / System Recovery / System Recovery.

Jagged lines due to video driver/motherboard?!?!

If it works fine without a driver and only faults out when you apply the driver it would suggest that the driver you are using is incorrect. You may also be trying to start out with too high a resolution on your screen try lowering it before installing the driver.

Also ensure that you DO have the CORRECT driver

if yours has L75II8 on any labels underneath then go here to get the correct drivers

Also make sure you know which bios version you have as there were at least two Major revisions of this model and you may weel need to know to get the EXACT drivers

You might also want to update the bios for your revision if you can.

Freezing at the "HP iPAQ Pocket PC start-up" and won't advance any further. (think that it pushed up against something in my bag, and perhaps maxed the memory?). Not at a point where ActiveSync can...

I had same problem. Finally got mine sorted!!

Try a full reset. Hold the quick launch button and the rotate screen button simultaneously (top and bottom of 4 buttons on left of device) and then use stylis to press in the reset button (on top edge just left of SD card slot). Keep depressed until it resets then release the 2 buttons and then release reset button.

It will appear to do the same but it tells you at the bottom it is doing a reboot or something. After 30 secs or so it then goes past and gets to the screen align screen.

You might loss settings but it worked for me

Ralink wireless lan card not exist

You have to remove the PCI card or USB from the computer, uninstall the software. Reboot, now install the software. Power off computer. Install network card or USB, then power on computer.

The key is that you have to install software before installing hardware.

Toshiba laptop will not startup

Without being about to do a HANDS on inspection of the laptop, it could have a couple of possible problems.

Here is my Best guess as to the probable cause. You have a loose/damaged connection on the Display screen. More than likely the power supply line to it. When it reboots it cools enough to pull away from its connection. Then gives you trouble rebooting until you apply and remove power several times. Why this is working by my theory is that each time you apply power it is sparking in that loose connection and slowly warming it back up until it finally connects again. Then all is fine until you reboot again and start the process all over.

This is a theory and I Can NOT guarantee that this is the problem. If it is. Then unless you are experienced at dealing with small electronics and high voltage. I would strongly recommend having it looked at by an experienced technician.

Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance
