Question about Husqvarna Viking 1

Help problems with Bobbin and tread

I have a Viking husqvarna Sweden 60 20 and when i try to sew all the tread bunches under the material and on the bobbin itself. I just inherited the machine from my husbands grandmother when she passed and the owners manual was no where in sight. I have never done this before, but i have been researching and checked the needle and the tension and cleaned the machine and all is well on that front. If anyone is able to help it would be greatly appreciated.

I have this same problem with my Viking... Not sure how to fix it either! Need help fast - trying to get Halloween costume done by Friday!!

I had that to happen once on my 955E Viking machine. The tension was off and once I adjusted the tension, it worked just fine. Also - be sure to have a backing/stabalizer under the fabric.

Also check the bobbin to make sure it is threaded properly.

I found that if the bobbin is not threaded correctly or if the upper thread is not adjusted properly, it will bunch on the bottom. Also, if the stabilizer is not firm enough for the material it will bunch.

You may have the tension set too tight or are not using the correct needle. Or, the bobbin thread may not be the same as the top thread. Also, here is a little trick. Put a piece of typing paper under the edge of the material and sew across the paper onto the material on all edges that you sew off of, to give a little stability to the material. This usually works and you can tear it off gently when you are finished sewing. Also, if the tensions are o.k., try using a ballpoint needle.

Why is bobbin tread jamming on my husqvarna viking juliett sewing machine

Most of the time, you should rethread the machine, take the bobbin out and put it in again and change the needle. Generally if it is jamming under the fabric, it is because something is wrong with the top ie rethread the machine.

Husqvarna Plantinum 755 model I removed the bobbin case holder to clean because the bobbin tread was bunching up and pulling the material down below thw feeddog and stalling. Why did it do this? now I not...

I would take it to my dealer and have them check it, the last thing you want to do is sew with anything that is not in line. You can wreak all kinds of problems, ask my sister.

My bobbin thread is bunching up on the back of my material

check to see if the needle is bent-roll on flat surface to see if it rolls correctly, or if it's blunt
some sewing machines have that problem when the thread come off the thread take up lever
check the bobbin area for lint or loose threads
make sure the bobbin is wound correctly

I have viking 1, my bobbin is stuck and will not

take out the parts in the bobbin area, you must have treads all tangled in there, and clean out all the lint.

Thread bunching up around bobbin

If you do not have a user guide, you might want to find one. Try ebay or have an authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer order you one. In fact I would find your nearest authorized Husqvarnia Viking dealer and visit them with you machine. They should be able to help you and usually are very helpful even if you didn't buy the machine from them. If they determine it is correctly threaded and the bobbin is ok, have it serviced by an authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer or have them send it to Husqvarna Viking (SVP) Technical Service Dept in Tennessee for service. The machine should give you years of good performance.

Use only genuine Husqvarna Viking bobbins.

To find an authorized dealer near you, check the Husqvarna Viking website - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us

Good luck.

I have a Viking 6690. The bobbin tension is loose. How can I fix it?

when you say "bobbin tension is loose" do you mean that the thread bunches up under the fabric? If yes, then your UPPER tension is wrong and it's probably not threaded correctly.
