My emerson mp3 player is not recognized on my system as well and it also freezes my computer solid if I plug it in. I have been trying numerous things to try to get it to work as this is the 2nd mp3 player I have purchased and the other brand did not work either. any help would be greatly appreciated :-)

computer does not recognize Emerson MP3 player when pluged in to usb. tested cord and it is ok.
