In your bluetooth utility before it searches for available devices does it ask for an access code. These are usually factory set defaults, type in 0000. If that doesn't work check plantronics site for their default access code for your mode.

I have a dell xps that came with a wireless/bluetooth keyboard with mouse pad and i have another dell xps 420 that i'd like to use the wireless keyboard on...they are both dell xps's and both

Wireless/Bluetooth keyboards and mice can only be used with one device at a time it is like a bluetooth headset once it is paired with a phone it will 99.99% of the time only work with that phone and that phone only, Wireless keyboards and mice are setup on the same principal once they are paired up with 1 PC to use on another PC you have to remove the pairing. The worst case scenario is that the second PC's Wireless/Bluetooth has failed. I hope this helps.

How to use a bluetooth headset for VOIP on Avaya

Sometimes using a wired headset for voip (voice over internet protocol) can really be a pain. The cords are short, you can't move about very far before disturbing the connection and basically you are "chained" to the desk when using one. <br /> <br /> Wireless headsets are an option, providing hands free use but they also have their bad points too! The ear covers are large and can get sweaty after long periods of time. Some headsets are bulky and resemble "ear muffs" which limit your hearing in the space around you. Canceling out background noise is a good thing, but it can also be dangerous. Not to mention they weigh a lot when compared to a regular telephone headset. <br /> <br /> Ever wish you could use something like the bluetooth from your cell phone to get the best of both worlds? Well, now you can! Even when your computer does not support bluetooth technology.<br /> <br /> As long as your computer has a free usb port, enabling bluetooth technology may be as simple as purchasing an adapter from your local department store.<br /> <br /> I/O Gear has a bluetooth adapter that works great for this purpose and I bought one for less than $20.00. You buy the adapter, install the software and plug it in to your usb port. When the computer recognizes the adapter, turn on your bluetooth headset and put it into pairing mode. I have a Plantronics Voyager Pro bluetooth headset and all I had to do was press and hold the power button until the red & blue lights began to blink and the pc picked up the signal just fine!<br /> <br /> Once you pair your bluetooth with your pc, answering a call using Ayaya is a snap! The adapter provides 300 to 550 feet of wireless reception which gives me plenty of room to move about while using VOIP services. The bluetooth weighs nothing on my ear compared to the larger wireless headsets and the reception using the I/O Gear adapter is wonderful! I answer calls by tapping the tiny button on the bluetooth and hang up using the same motions.<br /> <br /> I would reccomend using this method to anyone who works from home using their computer for voice over internet applications. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />

There is no bluetooth instaled on my pc! where can i download it?

Bluetooth is not software, but hardware. Cell phones come with bluetooth built in, so all you have to buy is the bluetooth headset. But computers never come with bluetooth as far as I know. You can buy a sound system for your computer that works over bluetooth frequencies, but that is not built into the computer. If you wanted to use a hands free headset on a computer, you have to buy the bluetooth receiver as well, and plug it into the USB port.

Plantronics 520 headset I want to be able to answer my home phone with the headset

Not sure if the '520' is a wireless headset for cell phones, or if it comes with a base transmitter unit and is made for desk phone. If it is designed for cell phone, then you have to have some sort of bluetooth transmitter for the PC phone (note that wireless is not the same as bluetooth). Check your computer store for small bluetooth adapter that plugs into USB port of computer.

How do I connect my Sony Bluetooth headset DR BT21G to my Vaio

I solved this problem by turning off my phone which had bluetooth active while i was trying to get audio through. thats why the bluetooth never connected to my headset as the phone was using up the bandwith.
make sure your headset is the only bluetooth device and then go into your bluetooth properties -> audio -> select your headset and press connect
now go into your sound options and it should be listed there if it connected succesfully. set if as default and remember to restart the music programm youre running
enjoy!!! =D
