Question about ViewSonic VG900b (Black) (10 Pack) Monitor
Exactly what was said in the subject. The monitor turns on, shows the image for a few seconds, then goes black. Testing with another monitor, the problem is not in my video card or cable. Thanks for any help you can provide.
What Usually causes these to go on and off quickly is one af a couple things.
Usually it is the powerboard not putting out enough power to run the video board and the inverter.
Sometimes it is the actual inverter board. I have seen a plain small fuse stop these cold.
Rarely, but it could be a bad bulb in the screen. Bad bulbs usually start dark in the middle, or they start off pink. They can also flicker while they are on.
If you can take it apart and have a dc tester, the problem may be able to be found.
I repair some viewsonics , mostly VXs series, but I have done a couple of these.
