Try to reseat your cartridges. Unplug and replug your printer into the power source to reset itself. If that doesn't help, try to clean your cartridges and check if print quality improves. If you're using Windows, go to Start -> Programs -> Lexmark X74-X75 -> Lexmark X74-X75 Solution Center -> Maintenance -> Clean print nozzles to fix horizontal streaks.
You will be having a USB cable that connects the printer to your PC or notebook. I believe you have an internet connection that is always on. If you are not using Windows Vista, here are some links for the printer drivers.
Open this page in your browser:
Find the link (in RED) for the operating system you're using (Windows XP, Windows 2000, etc.), then click on it. A new page will open; you'll see the name of the driver (such as CJXP75LE.exe) listed. Click on that file name (again, it is in RED); another page will open. Next, click on the words "Download Now" (once again, shown in RED), then save the driver to your Desktop, so you can find it easily...
Once the download has completed, double-click on the file name to begin installing the new driver for your Lexmark X75 MFC...
