ATI Remote wonder problem!

I'm wondering if someone has any problems with this remote?
Suddenly it just stopped working.. nothing happens when you push
the buttons.
- The red lights are working both on the control and the receiver
- Batteries are ok.
- Tried to reinstall the software with no result.
- Running ATI software together with Girder and plug-in.
- Tried to change the ID, but it is not possible to even test the new ID's

If someone has any idea I would appreciate your help!

Any chance it will work with a reboot? Could be that your USB port has
turned off (power save). You could uncheck the power management for the USB
root hub on which the receiver is attached in Device Manager.

Thank you for your help but..

I have rebooted several times during the reinstallation of the
software.
I also tried different USB, but no luck!
Could it be something with the USB driver anyway? The system says
the drivers are ok though..
Does anybody know the life expectancy of the batteries to this remote?
I don't think it is the batteries though, because the red light on the
remote is bright..
