Re: operating system cannot support lex Z2300 series...
It simply means that your printer is not compatible with your os in its present form. I'm guessing XP or Vista? Anyway, there should be patches available at your manufacturers website. Look for the drivers/downloads. Also check the xp and vista compatbility lists.

Remove the ink cartridge and check the bottom making sure all the tape has been removed. Small pieces of tape frequently tear off and block the ink flow. If this does not work clean the holes on the cartridge with a Q-Tip moistened with warm water.
Heres the trick to it. You download the version you need 32 bit or 64 bit save the download.
next locate your download right click it choose properties click on the compatibility tab.
there is a choice to run it in compatibility mode check the box and select your operating system.
next you need to check the option to run as an administrator witch is at the bottom of the
compatability tab apply these options and hit ok.
finaly you will right click it and choose run as administrator wait
for the installer to start and follow the promts. and you can use your
printer. If your printer is hosted off another computer make sure the
workgroup is the same so that windows 7 can find your printer. Search
and add the printer your done
well do ot install it using the cd,first of all connect the printer and then inser the cd when prompted.this should work. if you want a technician to do the entire troubleshooting for you.You may get in touch with one of the techbuddies, they offer free technical support for such issues. you may get them at http://tinyurl.com/m7ghqz
In this case, there's no mystery as to the cause of the problem. You will be unable to use this printer with your operating system because there are no existing print drivers that work with 64 bit Vista. Your printer will work with Windows 98, Windows 2000, and Windows XP, but not with Vista at all.
You have only two options...use a different HP printer that will work with Vista, or get a PC that has one of the supported operating systems on it and connect your current printer to that PC.
Sorry. I know this isn't the answer you were looking for, but that's the best I can do until the proper drivers become available.
