Cool, adding RAM is the quickest upgrade to enhance comp. performance. Type memory upgrade in your search engine bar and choose from abundant available outlets. Most have a utility that will scan your system to give you an exact memory match.

Its just below the laptop. carefully place the laptop upside down and you will see a small cabinet screwed, by opening that you can see the ram and replace it, while replacing the ram the potion must be correct ( see the potion before remove the old ram)

I have a dell b110 dimension...i took the memory out to see what kind of ram it was to add more to the system. When i replaced the ram, it wont boot up. when you push the power button, it hums like it is...

Check first if the memory is loose or there are any parts that have come loose such us IDE or SATA cables, For errors you should also get warning sounds.

I would like to add more memory and maybe a bigger hard drive.

that should be DDR1 and you may or may not be able to upgrade it depending on the motherboard. what i would recommend is having a professional put it in (computer tech place) so that if the board does not accept the ram, you arent stuck with ram that cant be used if you just by it yourself and try...if you do attempt a ram upgrade yourself, one thing to note with laptops. make sure its ocmpletely powered off and the adapter is unplugged and then remove the battery.

I want to add RAM, but I haven't yet found the slots. Can someone tell me where they are?

The slot will be on the bottom (the part of the laptop that sits on the desk). Remove the screw(s) that are holding the cover and you will see the existing RAM (usually a green module about 2 inches in length).

Which memory ram for amilo pro v7010

Here's a link to the Data Sheet with the specifications to that Laptop in Adobe Reader format.

Looks like your Laptop came with either 256 or 512 MB of DDR SDRAM and it is upgradable to 2 GB of DDR SDRAM.

You can check to see exactly how much RAM your computer came with by going to Control Panel, double-click System and it should tell you how much RAM you currently have in the System Properties box.

The motherboard has 2 slots for RAM, you you could add a second 256 MB or a second 512 MB stick of RAM. Or if you wanted to upgrade to the 2GB of maximum RAM this computer handles, then you can take out the RAM chip(s) that is installed and install two 1G DDR SDRAM.

My laptop is very slow...

1st off - do a restore on the computer to bring it back to factory settings. This will clean it up and speed it up as well. 2nd you need more ram . Ram is very cheap and Vista needs lots of ram to run.
Thishis should solve your problem. Total cost to you is about $50.00

I need to add RAM to my Toshiba Satellite M55-S3262 notebook, can I do this myself or do I need a authorized service technician?

If you can access the memory module by removing some of the screws at the back of your laptop, you can easily add RAM if there are vacant slots for another RAM in the RAM slot. Ideally, the RAM should be of the same memory capacity as the original RAM installed in your laptop. Just handle the RAM module at the edges so you don't damage the sensitive components. You can avoid this by discharging static electricity from your body by placing your hands on a grounded object.
