Hey :), id be happy to help. First before you begin you must install Itunes on your Mac or Pc, To do this you must go to this link to get the installer for Itunes
http://www.apple.com/itunes/overview/

Ok, once you have installed Itunes on your computer ( and its up and running ), you must  now plug in you Ipod to your computer ( with the usb cord that came with your Ipod ). Now once  you have your Ipod plugged in and you have Itunes opened , your Ipod will show up in the side bar of Itunes and a window will pop up asking for info like, what would you like to call your Ipod and etc. . Now after its done with setting up your Ipod, Itunes will automatically sync ( send ) the  music/videos and etc, you have in your Itunes library to your Ipod. The syncing process will occur every time you plug your ipod into your computer. Oh and to add music to your library through CD's just stick a CD inside your computer and open Itunes and the CD with show up in the side bar and on the side of the screen select rip ( ripping a CD will send the songs to your Itunes library ) . Thanks! and I really hope this helps, and Id appreciate it if you rated my solution

SOURCE: my pc does not see my ipod when it is connected

Reset your iPod :

  1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
  2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

SOURCE: hi i have iPod nano

Hi! You want to use itunes website to buy songs and games or you want to use itunes for syncronizing your songs in ipod. If you want to add songs and other stuff to your ipod then download the itunes from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install it. After installing the ipod connect the ipod with the computer.

After connecting the ipod with the PC it will automatically detect your ipod. And then add your favourite songs to your ipod by dragging them into the library or by importing them into library from file tab.

Resetting Ipod to Factory Settings. Will you lose all apps purchased?

Everything synced on your comouter should be restored once your done with the factory reset. If you have apps that aren't synced to your computer, then don't worry because.your apple account saves all free and paid purchases so that you can download them again at a later time. Hope I helped. I lost my lock code for my ipod 30GB

If you have access to the primarycomputer you use with your iPod, and your media saved on your hard drive.Follow PC/Mac instructions (Not technical)below to sync your iPod, and then restore its firmware which will removethe lock code.

If you use an Apple Laptop and are comfortable using Terminal you can skipbelow to Mac (Technical) instructions. This solution is somewhat technical and requires you to deletesystem files which can be risky, but it doesn't require restoring your iPod.Not recommended unless you know what you are doing.

Warning: Restoring your iPod will delete all the data and restore theiPod you factory settings. Only do this if you have your media saved on yourPC, or this is a last resort to get the functionality of your iPod back.
If you can't unlock iPod you canrestore your iPod to factory settings using iTunes. Please note that thiswill erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod. b> PC/Macinstructions (Not technical) b> Warning: Restoring your iPod will delete all the data and restore theiPod you factory settings. Im tryin to reset the password, when i hold the home and the other button down all i get is the cable and the itunes and nothing else happens.

You happened to restore your iPod to the factory settings, meaning EVERYTHING on there is now lost. Here is what you do to sync your iPod.
Step 1: Download and install iTunes if you don't have it already.
Step 2: Attach your iPod to your computer with the given USB cable.
Step 3: Follow the on-screen instructions. You should have a working iPod now.

My original laptop died and I lost the code t y 8gb ipod how do I unlock it .It says it is disabled hook it up to itunes

Ipod Password Lock

The first way is you can connect the iPod to the computer it was originally configured on,but being your laptop died that will be impossible.
If you don’t have access to the original computer or it just does not work, you can jump to the second method.
The second way is the fix for any iPod problem, it is the classic “restore your iPod to factory settings.” That this will erase all data on your iPod and take you back to day one, but you can just add your music and data back to iPod from iTunes.
Good Luck,
I hope this helps

Lost password

Sadly when you loose a password for an apple ipod you will have to connect the ipod to itunes and restore it. To do this connect the ipod to your computer and wait for it to show up in itunes. As soon as it shows up in itunes it will load to the summary page. You will want to click on the restore/update option and follow the on screen instruction. A restore is the only way to unlock it without the password. Hope this is helpful to you :)
