Question about Panasonic PV-V4021 S-VHS VCR
I have an analog TV. I receive TV signals via air antenna. The antenna is plugged into the input of a digital conversion box. The output of the box feeds into the VCR. Output of the VCR goes to the TV. Reception now on TV of digital signals is fine (better than from analog transmission). But now I can't figure out how to set the VCR for timed recording (for when I'm away from the house). No way to input channel numbers such as 11-2 into the VCR. Can this VCR be made compatible with the new digital system and conversion box? Thanks for any answers you can provide.
An analog VCR can only be used the same way as an analog TV. You should be able to set the VCR to the converter boxes output channel ( 3 for example) and then set the VCR to record that channel at the correct times. Then just tune the converter box to the correct channel. Please note that if you try this while you are at home (recording one thing while watching another) you will wind up recording whatever is on the channel you change to.
