    HI Mike

I was going crazy for a while because you have to move the plastic molding to get at the screws. Once I did this the rest was easy. The washer was overflowing...turned out the valve where the hoses are hooked up was stuck open...a quick trip to the parts store and $32.00 later the washer is fixed. Thanks for your help...George

If it's a sears washer you remove the console screws one on each side, flip up the console and you will see 2 spring clips, take a flat screw driver and pop them out, unplug the lip switch jack, lift up the lid and put your hand on the lip and pull up and out and your ready to go to work on your leak, let me know more-mike

FREZZER WORKS FRIDGE DOES NOT

Same thing happened with our fridge. We had a repairman out to look at it. He took the back panel off the rear of the freezer. There was a large block of ice in one corner of the freezer. Repairman said this was indicative of a Freon leak. The condensation was freezing around where the leak was which was why the block of ice was in one corner rather than all over. Repairman said he could refill the Freon but cost 200 dollars. He also said there was no real way to tell how quickly the Freon was escaping so the fix could last 2 years or 2 weeks, there was no way to tell. Repair company came highly recommended from yelp as well as Angie's List with many high marks for honesty. Repairman suggested buying a new fridge (not from them) for 300 bucks rather than a 200 dollar fix with no way to tell how long it would last.

My HE2t front load washer started making horrible noises and doing a dance! Then the water overflowed and went through the laundry room floor to the basement. The Sears Home Services repairman came and...

With the machine off, try lifting up on the inside drum. If it seems to move fairly easily and makes a 'clunk' sound, you may have lost the forward bearing on the drum shaft--a very costly and time consuming operation to replace this part. Is the machine still under warranty? Many service persons (and not necessarily Sears) will do just about anything to avoid this repair, especially under warranty. If Sears won't fix the problem, tell them you aren't satisfied and want your money back! Hope this helps!

I have lost a "washable" bear in my HE2 front load washer. I paid sears nearly $200 last month when a small "beanie" hat got stuck somehow behind the gasket. I did nto see how the sears repairman removed...

Door Gasket Removal Procedure

  1. Unplug the washer for your safety.
  2. Open the door and locate the door gasket retaining hoop. Stretch the retaining hoop spring and remove the hoop from the perimeter of the door gasket.
  3. Peel back the door gasket from the lip of the tub into the drum.
  4. Remove the door switch from the front panel.
  5. Remove the top panel/cover of the machine.
  6. Remove the console.
  7. Remove the front panel.
  8. Carefully pull the door gasket from around the inlet and window washer tubes.
  9. Remove the door gasket retaining clamp by loosening the clamp screw on the upper right of the tub opening.
  10. Peel off the door gasket completely from the tub. Be careful not to tear or punch a hole on it.
  11. Reassemble the parts in reverse order of the removal procedures given.
Door Switch Removal
  1. Remove the screws holding the door switch on the right side of the door opening.
  2. Lift the door switch and pull it away from the front panel.
Top Cover Removal
  1. Remove the screws securing the top panel at the back of the machine and lift it off.
Console Removal
  1. Disconnect the ribbon connector from the left side of the central control unit which is located directly above the rear of the tub.
  2. Release the ribbon connector from the wiring harness brackets on the right side of the washer top.
  3. Pull the detergent dispenser drawer out and press down on the release tab at the back of the drawer then pull it completely out of the washer.
  4. Remove the screw in the recessed hole next to the drawer opening.
  5. Open the door and insert a flat-bladed screwdriver into the slot in the bottom center of the console.
  6. Push the console up to release the center tab and remove it from the washer.
Front Panel Removal
  1. Remove the three screws holding the toe panel to the front of the washer.
  2. Lift the toe panel slightly then pull it to the front to remove it.
  3. Remove the two bottom screws and two top screws holding the front panel to the washer.
  4. Remove the front panel from the washer.

I bought a used 7 1/2 year old fisher paykel dd603 for my tenant, it worked fine the first time. second time she got F1 code on both drawers. water was in lower pan, we sopped it up and dried it out. also...

I have the same model F&P and just experienced similar problems. My top drawer was leaking due to that "not important" thin white tube. It really sounds like you called a general appliance guy and not a trained F&P repairman. The guy who fixed ours mentioned it provides strain relief for the drain tube & wiring loom when the draw is pulled in & out. So no, it is not crucial to the washer operating, however it may be causing all your problems. On mine, when the draw was pushed in, because this tube was broken it was poking straight in to the top drawer and stopping the lid from sealing causing a FLOOD. Also the flood sensor got wet and had started to corrode and was going to fail soon anyway so it really needed replacing. Additionally, my washer had always "groaned/ R-R-R-R-R-R'd" as it wound down the lids on each compartment. The Fisher & Paykel repairman recommended I get the "kit" for it to fix these issues on both drawers. The kit replaces several parts that have been found to cause common failures over the years. He ordered it and has just been back to install it. It cost nearly $300 all up but I reckon is good value. The machine now works like new, and all of the most likely problems that should eventuate have been addressed. It is now whisper quiet when closing/opening the lid too! The downside is that F&P took 2 weeks to arrive first off, then another 3 weeks before the part arrived. :-( If you decide to overhaul your dishdrawer - you won't recognise it! ( btw - I have no affiliation with F&P either, other than my missus loves her F&P DishDrawer and I love keeping her happy! )

If that machine was so easily damaged (the electronics in particular) it is a sorry design.  About the only thing I would suggest is to actually pull the AC plug and ignore it over night.  Whatever safety 'feature' caused the door to lock, may reset itself if given enough time.
And yes, Sears service is not as wonderful as they claim.

I had this problem and did not have the time to fix it myself so I called Sears. The "tech" looked at his laptop, called his "supervisor" a couple of times and told my wife that both control boards needed replaced at a cost of over $500. The manuals, with testing procedures for the inclined, are on the inside, front cover.
The CE error is a communications failure and on mine it required replacement of the AVS board. I bought the part at a local supply house and replaced it myself for about $175.
