I have the three pound bread maker and I just tried it today and the paddles don't move. The motor is working, but the paddles aren't turning and it sounds terrible!

I have the same problem on B7D B2300

My machine appears only to work on the rapid bake settings. Doesn't want to start on Basic(1) or whole grain (5). I thought maybe I was being impatient but after taking a shower and going to the store it still had not started.

Sometimes it depends on the temperature of your ingredients. We have had a B&D machine for over 13 years now and it makes wonderful loaves of bread and rolls and pizza dough...you name it.

However the new B2300 was on sale at half price this week and we decided to get a new one because of the extra sizes it makes.

I expect this one works the same as the old and it takes a while to "think" about what it is doing. I hope your loaves still turned out nicely. But sometimes there IS a bit of experimentation to get the mixes just right.

While I am here, I will give you a tip. If the paddles get stuck in the container, do NOT try to force them out of it. Instead, put some warm water in there and just forget it for a while...maybe an hour and they will just lift right out as slick as can be. Otherwise you can break those suckers and they are a devil to get hold of new ones after a year or so.

When I plug in the machine I get at dash and 2 zeros. The directs say I should see 3. I cannot get it to do anything else. Do I have a lock somewhere?

without any ingredients in the pan....after plugging in your machine,,,,push "select" button.... choose program #1.....this is the basic white bread program....now push the "start" button... your machine should start mixing either right away or within 15- 20 minutes...if it does then your machine is functioning properly.....

My Toastmaster TBR2 breadmaker does not mix and knead when started. The pan is positioned correctly, it is in P1 and the countdown timer is on 3:00. It makes a tick-tick noise but nothing happens. Why?

In cold weather many bread machines have to warm up for 15-20 minutes before they start. The clicking you hear is the heating element warming up.

There may be nothing wrong. 4 hours is probably the length of the bread program you chose. All bread machines do that. After about 15 minutes your machine should start the kneading process with a slow pulsing mix. Some machines and programs don't do anything for the first 15-20 minutes. Whole wheat recipes especially have a built in delay before any kneading begins.

My bread machine will not turn on. There is nothing wrong with the electrical outlet.

For the B&D All-in-one, on pg 12 it says "Press the 'start' button. For most programs, there will be a 15-minute delay before mixing cycle begins."

When I'm impatient, I use one of the cycles that does not have a delay (e.g. Rapid Bake 2
