Im having trouble removing the base stand, I'm trying to mount it on the wall. I removed the 4 screws on the bottom but cant get the metal legs off.

Generally the stand is screwed on from the back of the TV. there should be 4 screws that will come out all the way and allow for the stand to be removed

TV tilts forward on base about 15 degrees,

The only things I could think of causing this would be either the hardware not tightened up properly or defective base (stand.) Make sure all the screws are tightened securely in the bottom of the base and in the back of the tv where the base attaches. Someone may have used the wrong screw holes to attach the base but there really should only be 4 holes to use to screw the base to the tv. This may need returend to the retailer for an exchance of the base.

How do I remove the base?

Usually base stand attachment/ de-attachment procedure is mentioned in related user manual, however, there would be few screws at lower center part of tv to be removed to remove base stand.

How do I open it to look inside?

First, lay the tv/monitor on its screen on something level and soft as not to damage the screen. Remove any visible screws that seem to attach the base to the unit. Some models you have to look under the base for pins orso to push together to slide the base from the stand, only then you could reach the 1 screw holding the monitor to the stand....Once stand removed, remove any screws you see holding the monitor casing together, usually only a few screws since they are mostly held together by plastic "clips"...Once screws are removed, then gently insert a flat(screwdriver orso) inbetween the case?housing, repeat this all the way around the case/housing till completely loose....You will prob have a few wires or maybe a ground wire that you would have to remove before completely being able to seperate both sides(front case, back case)..Sometimes you might have to unscrew and remove the skinny washer/nut around the cable input orso..
Good luck!

Once you have insertesd the panel in the back of the tele for mounting it on the stand how can you remove it again

same way you inserted. lay the tv down flat on a soft secure surface to protect the screen. make sure there is no pressure on the stand. look for 6-8 larger screws attached to the frame for each leg of the base. remove these screws and slide out the stand. voila! hope this helps, J

Can not remove the stand to mount it on the wall

If the Aquos 46 is anything like the Aquos 42, the monitor is attached to the base with machine screws (bolts). They are located in the lower back portion of the monitor, probably need an Allen wrench to loosen and remove. Once that is done, the base can be removed from the monitor. Best way is to lay the monitor face down on a tabletop padded with foam, a quilt or blanket, etc to protect the screen as you work. Remove the stand from the monitor, not the monitor from the stand; it is easier and safer that way.

Attaching to wall mount

The 4 screws that are commnly used are short because they are ususally wide in diameter. Besides if they are too long then they might damage the boards on the TV.
