Hello! I have D-link DSL-321B moidem. He is working. But when I put router, D-link DI-624 I cannot see modem. What I have to do? I need to connect router how I can connect more PCs. Please...

Basically connect your modem to your router with the right cable connections. Then from the router you can customized your wireless connection name, encryption etc.Now from this router you can connect several pcs either by ethernet cable or via wireless if you can set it up.Now if you are trying to connect a few more pcs wired to the router and there is not enough space then cheapest thing is to get wireless pci card for the pcs(assuming they are desktops and not laptops).I hope I have answered your question here.

My router is connected but my pc cannot get on the internet, says ie cannot display this page? I have XP serv pack3. My laptop is Vista. Laptop works great, only problem is with desktop. Is my ie disabled?

HI,
check in the Belkin Wireless Monitor that the DCHP status is enabled for the desktop PC.
On the PC desktop, select Networkconnections, show existing networkconnections, select your connection, properties, scroll to the TCP/IP settings, select and check properties you should have selected "obtain IP address automatically.
Restart your PC. If you still have problems close down your PC and laptop, unplug modem from electricity, unplug router from electricity, wait 2-3 minutes, put the modem on again, put the router on again, start up your PC and then start up your laptop.
This procedure works always for me if I loose my connections. Does it solve your problem?

My router DI-624 does not get an IP address assigned to it automatically. I checked all settings as per manual / How can I solve the problem?.Any help is much appreciated.

Is the M2 LED light on? That's a light that tells you if a problem exists with the hardware itself.

If you connect the laptop directly to the modem does it connect okay? That will tell you whether it's your laptop and cable that might be the problem.

If it does connect okay with just the laptop and modem in the mix try these steps:

-disconnect the modem from your laptop
-double check that your laptop has no static IP info on the network card including a gateway or DNS settings
-power off your laptop and the router
-connect the laptop to the router (port 1 on the back)
-disconnect the router from the modem so only the laptop is connected to it
-power on the router
-power on the laptop
-make sure a green light appears on the front for port 1
-type in ipconfig /flushdns at a command prompt
-see if you can ping the default IP address 192.168.0.1
-if you can, see if you can connect to the router console
-if not, hold the reset button in for 10 seconds and release
-wait for the router to come back to green lights
-reboot your laptop
-try to access console menu again

If your laptop doesn't work when connecting directly to the modem, we can take other troubleshooting steps together.

Let me know how it goes and if it works don't forget to rate this solution! :)

Desktop and two laptops won't work with modem & router now

Probably you used the wrong type of ethernet cable, a crossover one. Try another Ethernet cable but this time a straight one.

Connection to my Desktop not working.

Try and change the cable from the router to computer with a new one and do the same with the modem and see if connects. Hopefully it's just the cables that are faulty.

Ethernet Port failure new router

Check the socket in either the router or the PC. I had the same problem, only with my modem. When I inspected the port, the pins were misaligned, causing it to drop a connection. I corrected mine with a screwdriver, which is not ideal but it works.
