There are many password reset tools, but I haven't personally attempted them. Windows Password Seeker is a generally a extensively distribute edition though. After reboot the computer with CD/ USB, remove the lost or forgotten password and then log in to your computer without any password.

You can reset a forgot Windows password with 4 methods below:
1. Another valid administrator account which can normally log on.
2. A password reset disk or a repair disc.
3. Windows Password Breaker to create a bootable reset CD/DVD or USB.
4. Re-install. Will lose data.

I forgot my password for my home computer. Is there away to unlock my computer? If so can you help?

Restart 1. Before the Windows Logo Screen press F8 and select "Safe Mode" 2. Log in as administrator (usually no password required for it) 3. Go to Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Change an account -> Select your account -> Remove password. 4. Reboot and let normal startup 5. Set a new password once you log in.
Cheers!

Forgot password, need to reset

You can reset any user password by logging in using the Administrator account through Safe Mode. In Windows XP Home you cannot log into the Administrator account in normal mode.
When your computer is starting up, hold down the F8 key. This will bring you to a black screen with white text. Use the arrow keys to highlight "Safe Mode" and then hit enter. This will boot the computer into Safe Mode, which will look normal except the resolution will be very low. Log in as the Administrator (should have a blank password). Once logged in, open the Control Panel, then User accounts, then reset the password or whatever user you want. Reboot the machine to get back into normal mode.
