Question about Computers & Internet
My monitor is black when turned on, and the "on button" light flashes and makes a clicking noise.
I have two monitors hooked up to a G5 Tower for use with Final Cut Pro. Because one monitor is out I am unable to access the browser window which contains video clips for editing.
I swapped the video cables between monitors and had the same issue with the same monitor, so I'm assuming it is not the video card.
What is the problem? Can I fix it myself? Is there a way to move the FCP browser window with my captured clips over to the working monitor? If I could see an image on the second monitor I could drag the browser window back onto the first monitor. Maybe there's another way to do it via preferences or something. Thanks in advance for your help.
It's seems your backlight inverter are busted, need replaced a new one or repaired it. To repaired look for a capacitors with bulged on top of each caps. Not sure, just replaced all the caps...
To move the FCP browser..turned on your monitor and shined a flashlight to the screen...you might seeing a very light browser from there you can drag it to the other monitor... Have a nice weekend!
