Question about Dryers

LGB6200PQ0 whirlpool dryer

Hello Guys:

My dryer was working just fine and I notice half way through the dry cycle the dryer stopped producing heat.

What should we look for or test in order to correct the problem?

Thanks

My dryer hasn't been heating for the last 3 months... it takes a whole day to dry clothes. Vents were cleaned and still the dryer is not working. I am not handy... would this be very expensive to have repaired?

HI thanks for the question. the problem ie more than likely the hi- limit thermostat., located on the heater box at the top. check this part. and the reason for part failure is dirty venting, clean all venting. replace hi- limit thermo. thanks the appliance doc please rate my answer, thanks.

Dryer Works but does not produce heat

I would first check to see if 240 volts is coming into the machine. The motor runs on 120 the heater need 240. If that is fine remove the rear panel and check the 2 limits and heater on the right hand side for continuity. Here is my video:

Dryer stop heating

Try vacuuming out the intake and exhaust vents for the burner. Lint collected there can block the burner operation. Hope this helps!

It wont stop running... dries perfectly but wont stop. Thanks! ;o)

either a timer or the heating element or a blocked vent also there is a resister on some kenmore/whirlpool dryers and if it is out it wont advance in the auto cycles. It should advance in the timed cycle with or without heat

Dryer starts drying and thinks clothes are dry, but they aren't

Check the timer, and the sensor. Sounds like it is having a problem with the timer or sensor no noticing that the clothes are still wet. Please rate if satisfied. Thank you

Only half of the heating element works

i looked up your model andfound it to need part number 3401338, this is the heater, i cannot see howe only 1/2 of the coil is going to light, its either on and all lights or its gone bad in which case its never gonna glow, its one filament like a lightbulb as long as the filament is good its alll good. too long to dry or extendedd dry times is most likely an issue with a blocked/clogged vent hose

Autodry cycle never stops

hi thanks for the question ther is a thermostat on the air duct at the back of the dryer it has 2 wires at ends and 2 wires in the middle smaller ones this thermostat opens to turn off heat and the small wires on this thermostat when the heats shuts off then power goes to the timer and not before if it shuts off on timed dry timer is ok i would vacuum the dryer make sure all the vent right to the outside is clean as air flow restriction can cause this problem thanks the appliance doc
