Try to update your media player.if possible windows media player 11. If still it doesnt work try to check your direct X installed components. Try to update it also. next try to check your display driver settings maybe your display driver isn't working. check it by running the run command and type dxdiag to check your computer system go to the display settings and check if there are any installed driver.

Possibly it is in the wrong format. Download vlc media player, that will play anything and will let you know if the DVD player is faulty or bot.

MY dvd player is gone. I have tried uninstalling. updates. everything it is seriously GONE!!! how can I get it back so I can watch movies, listen to music ect..??????

I am guessing you either mean that the computer cannot locate the DVD drive or the program you use to watch DVD's is gone. If it cannot find the DVD drive then reinstall the DVD drive drivers that came with the computer and if it is the second then use Windows Media Player and if that is gone then download it from the Microsoft website

The Toshiba DVD player won't play a DVD nor will Windows Media Player play a DVD. Downloaded another free DVD player from web and it worked momentarily then quit.

Check the Toshiba site for updated drivers for your dvd player. Also check the recall section for your particular model dvd player. They had several that were recalled.

Dvd wont play, it says check dvd drive status, never tried playing a dvd before

Hello,

regarding on your problem my friend, please check if your dvd drive is reading your dvd disk? if it reads then check the software you are using to play the DVD. Try to see if your Media Player has the correct Video Codec to support your DVD that you want to play. If you player has no Codec that supports the minimum requirements of the DVD to play, you can download it in the net using www.google.com. Please click the link that leads you to google then search for the right codec that can support your DVD to play or you can download another player that has already build in almost all of the new codec and ready to use. juts click this link K-lite Codec Pack. Just click the download K-lite Codec Pack to begin your downloading process after you are in the K-lite Codec Pack Website.

Thanks

Play dvd nothing - play s/d card (video) sound but no picture.

You need to update the dvd softwear. Check the default settings for playback of media,if it is set to windows media it won't work if you hav'nt installed the correct updates. Choose the Toshiba dvd player as the default player and it should work. If you prefer windows media then you can get the updated codecs from ' free-codecs.com ' Easier still, try uninstalling your windows media player and installing windows media 11, this will usually resolve the problem.
