Use a safety pin to pry it up. It is supposed to be in tight to keep it from popping out in a jolt. Also check to see if there is any metal clip on top holding it in place. If there is, make sure you pry up on the opposite side of the battery.

My remote for my 1999 vw bug dose not work

The first thing to try is a new battery. Mine takes a CR2032 coin cell. Replacement isn't difficult, just pull the two halves of the remote apart; the top half with the key separates from the bottom half with the buttons, then the bottom half opens up and the battery is right there. No tools needed.

When you press a button, you should see the red LED on the remote light up. You can also take it to most auto parts stores, and they'll have a tester that will tell you if your remote is generating a signal or not. If you've replaced the battery and the tester doesn't show a signal, it may be time to replace the remote.

A replacement remote will have to be programmed for your car, but it's not a difficult procedure and you don't have to go to a dealer to get it done. An internet search should give you instructions fairly easily.

Just need a battery, where do I get one. My remote is only 2 years old, is it common to need a new battery?

Most remote batteries will last 6 months to a year for an LCD remote or a year to 2 years for a standard 1 way remote. They're common batteries that can be found pretty much anyway. Most 2 Way LCD remotes use a AAA battery and a lot of 1 way remotes use the "coin" style batteries such as a CR2027, CR2032 etc... These can easily be found and most retail stores and drug stores. Look by the hearing aid and watch batteries. Just match it up with the battery you have in there now. If the remote doesn't have a sliding cover, then use a small flat head screwdriver and look along the seam of the remote for a small notch made for popping the remote apart for battery access.

Need help changing batteries on Wave Radio remote

Setting up the remote control

WARNING: Keep the remote control battery away from children. It may cause a fire or

chemical burn if mishandled. Do not recharge, disassemble, heat above 100°C (212°F), or

incinerate. Dispose of used battery promptly. Replace only with a battery of the correct type

and model number.

Your remote control may be one of two types. Each is identified by the way

the battery compartment unlocks to install or replace the battery.

1. Place the remote control face down on a flat surface.

2. If your remote has a slot on the back, follow step A. Otherwise, follow step B:

A. Insert the tip of a ballpoint pen into the slot. Push to the side as shown and hold. Slide

the battery compartment open with your finger.

B. Using your finger, push the tab lock to the side as shown and hold. Slide the battery

compartment open.

Setting Up

See operating

instructions for types of

battery to be used

Note: Use only a Duracell, Eveready, Maxell, or Toshiba CR2032 or DL2032 lithium battery

(available at electronics stores). If you have difficulty finding a replacement battery, contact

Bose® Product Support (see phone numbers on the inside back cover).

3. Keeping the remote control face down, insert the new battery into the compartment with

the + symbol facing up.

4. Gently slide the battery compartment closed. It locks automatically.

5. Use the supplied mounting strip if you want to attach the remote to a surface in your

listening room. Peel off the protective backing to stick one piece to the back of the remote
and the other to the selected surface.

How to change cmos battery?

the COMS battery is part of the motherboard, in most PCs they are inserted in a removable slot, the battery is a watch cell the size of a Dime and can be replaced (the battery serial/model # may be CR2032)
In some they are fixed in the motherboard, it's hard to remove it in this case.
u need to open the PC box to look for the battery, it can be easily detected if you can view ur complete motherboard.

Can't remove battery of remote to bose radio/cd player (won't work)

On the back of the remote there is a small hole. You need to slide the small lock in the hole over and the battery compartment should pop open. This requires something small like a straightened paper clip. You may need to coax it a little with your finger by pushing out off the end of the remote. There is a picture of this on the back of my remote. I just removed my battery so i could replace it. The battery size is CR2032.
