Deoo All in One 948 appears to reset continuously

My Dell All in One 948 printer appears continuously to be resetting or realigning though otherwise works normally. The realigning sound occurs every 15 seconds.

I took my ink into the refill store and she steamed it for me and cleaned it up. It then worked great. It had dried ink and wasn't printing proper.
Try to check for sticky or dried ink this also cause to print intermittently and also not printing.You just cleaned it so it works normal again.

It is abnormal for the printer to "Reset" every 15 seconds during a print job

try flashing the firmware:

See if the printer works better.

If not change, and printer is under warranty contact Dell.

That sounds like a control problem.

Start unplugging power cord for ten minutes.

If the problem persist, reinstall drivers.


If that still does not work, the printer need to be inspected by a repairman.

If the printer has the same exact status on another computer, you may need to remove the cartridges and the power cycle the printer, then put the cartridges back in.

if this does NOT happen when the printer is being used on another computer then you may need to uninstall and reinstall the printer from your computer.

What ink can i refil my my series 11 ink cartrige ??? or another cartrige thats a hp or cannon or epson that will fit in my dell 948 printer


Hello. You can refill the existing cartridge without a problem. Other brand cartridges will not work as they are all programmed only to use DELL model cartridges.
To Refill the cartridge you simply need to pull the label off, Drill the Air holes out, test what colour is behind the hole by sticking a toothpick into it and inject the correct colour.
If the cartridge leaks from the print head then the cartridge has been overfilled and you need to **** out ink (half ml at a time) until the dripping stops.
The only issue with this is that the printer may not accept a cartridge that it thinks is empty, and even though you fill it, the in-built counter in the cartridge will still read "0"
Some models will print with a empty cartridge, constantly reminding you that it is empty. if you simply ignore or click continue you can keep on printing, but some models will not print at all if it thinks the cartridge is empty.

I have a dell 948 all in one printer, clear paper jam then press check. There is no paper jam. I have follow instruction and site recommendation, ran printer software, problem still exist, please help


This is a known issue with Dell all in ones.

It's a problem with the power supply inside the unit.

If you were in the middle of a print job, though, and it jammed, do recheck as I've been caught out
with a paper jam where a tiny partical of paper was doing the jam. Look carefully before contacting Dell support.

Unplug the printer from the PC.

Uninstall the printer, reset the computer, install again the driver and connect the printer again, then configure correctly the fax.

Done.

Remove the top before refilling.
Otherwise you risk that the colors get mixed.
That happened to me when using holes drilled from the top.

Printer 948 false paper jam


Tonight, I fixed my neighbor's Dell 948 printer with false paper jam.

After you lift open the top, look below the shiny bar that the Print Head slides left/right on. You'll see a row of 8 tiny rollers. In between the middle two rollers (rollers #4 and #5 from the left), look for a small plastic tab sticking up between them. Touch this tab with the tip of a ball-point pen to see if it pushes down. If it does, then push the "checkmark" button on the control panel.

That's what I did to fix my neighbor's printer.

Dell 948 printer printing not finishing print jobs


Your printer loose documents:try to reset it ,unplug for an hour.
Or you might have interferences on your wireless :DECT phone, cell phone, or even an electric device who doesn't work propely, like tv, stove, speakers many things can parasites your connection...
If nothing does your printer as issues, think replacement...
