Install problem with h3 fog light bulb for 2002 wrangler

Pass side fog lamp blew. Replaced and still won't light. If turned on, driver side fog lights but I lose the pass side turn signal completely. Fog light switch off, all turns back on. This does not effect the main headlight. (Fogs are standard factory issue with switch a pull-out on left steering wheel column turn signal lever-- not a after market add-on) thanks

If it is a double filament bulb, try to rotate by 180 degrees in base, since there is a difference in power and touch of the bottom pins

SOURCE: how to change H3 fog light bulb in 2000 jeep cherokee sport?

Open up the lamp there is a clip that holds the lamp in place, replace the old one with the new one.
Be carefull and do not hold the bulb on the new one. Hold the bulb with a tissue. The nabody oils will make the lamp burn out prematurely.

SOURCE: The inside of the car fogs up and on very cold mornings ice forms

This can be caused by a heater core that is leaking inside the car, one way to determine if that's the problem, is if you can smell antifreeze. It is a 'sweet' smell, and is quite noticeable. If u don't notice this, I have to say this is a common problem w/ Hondas. I've had a civic, 2 accords (currently have a 92), and 2 Preludes, they are great cars, but they all suffer from fogged up windows in cold weather. One reason is that they are quite air tight, and the older models don't have the greatest defroster system (weak). Try and keep a window cracked open slightly, see if that helps.

SOURCE: Wiring front fog lights to a 2002 freelander ES.

Do not fit these lights yourself, you must take the vehicle to the dealer to have it done .Firstly as vehicle wasnt factory fitted you need the original homoglonation certificate from the manufacturer for the model with the foglights fitted, then you need a installation project drawn up by certifide auto engineer with the relevent technical qualifications (i have them) then they can only be fitted by a garage with an added value tax certificate, then vehicle must be presented to the local vehicle inspection depot to be mechanically inspected all over weither its due or not,the relevant paperwork plus the fee presented ,then a new vehicle registratrion document issued showing the changes.Failure to to this will cause the vehicle to fail its inspection when next presented as paperwork isnt correct ,the lights are ilrevelent as to weither they work or not,but if fitted from new they must work. Also if stopped by the guardis civil and paperwork checked, and they notice then you risk having the vehice impounded their and then on the spot ,big fine and the cost of the removal truck.

SOURCE: fog lights don't work

In my 99 Cherokee it was the switch itself. Bought one online for about 20 bucks and it took about 5 minutes to replace.

SOURCE: 2001 jeep wrangler sport ,fog lights on, switch off

I have a simular problem. Only mine does not some on. I tried to replace the turn signal switch assembly with a used one. The replacement work ok on the fog lights but the rest was bad. As near as I can figure it, the switch assemble is not well made and had many ways to go bad. Either replace the whole assemble or wire in a bipass switch. I am going to go with a bipass switch. I don't trust the new jeep products.

My fog lights won't turn on Nissan sentra GEX 2002

There are several things that can cause your fog lamps to not work. The fog lamp circuits need to be diagnosed. Your entire fog lamp circuit can be tested at the plug for the fog lamp relay located n the relay box.

PIN 5 on the relay should have battery power at all times. This power comes from Fuse #43 (15 Amp) in the fuse and fusible link box in the engine compartment. If there is power at this pin, the fuse and the circuit between the fuse and the relay is good.

PIN 3 on the relay goes to the fog lamp bulbs. There should be continuity to ground through the bulbs on this pin. If you have continuity to ground, connecting a jumper wire between PIN 5 and PIN 3 should make the fog lamps come on unless there is a short circuit to ground, which will cause Fuse #43 to blow. If there is no continuity to ground on this pin, the problem is either that BOTH fog lamp bulbs are burned out or there is a break in the wire between the relay and the bulbs.

PIN 1 Is the battery power for the primary coil in the relay. This power comes from the headlamp switch and power is only supposed to be present here when the headlamps are on and the dimmer switch is on LOW BEAM. If power is not present at this pin, the problem is a bad headlamp switch or an open circuit between the headlamp switch and the relay.

PIN 2 Is the control circuit for the primary relay coil. The control circuit should have continuity to ground when the fog lamp switch is set to the ON position. If there is no continuity to ground with the fog lamp switch on, the problem is a faulty fog lamp switch, an open between the relay and the fog lamp switch, or an open between the fog lamp switch and ground E37 (right front of engine compartment) and ground F7 (left rear of engine compartment) Please note: This circuit has redundant grounds....if one ground is not making good contact, the other ground can still make the circuit work.

PIN 4 on the relay is not used.

If all of the circuits/pins are working as described above, replace the relay.

That is pretty much it... That is all you really need to know to get your fog lamp circuits diagnosed. Let me know if you need further assistance.

Fog lamps on 2004 Tahoe won't come on.

You need to check the bulbs. These are known to go out a lot. Also you can check that you have power to the lights with a test light.Sounds like a bulb or wiring problem.I have had a few of these that are broken off because they are so close to the ground.Depending on if your four wheeling or in snow country.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Passenger side fog lamp wont turn on

Check the bulb, socket interface, clean contact points. IF you have a test light or ohmeter, check for power to the socket. If unpowered, check the fuse, if powered check bulb element, and socket condition.

How to replace fog light bulb on an '03 Jeep

There is a small square "trap door" in each wheel well directly behind the fog lamps. You can pry it open and access the fog lamps. They just twist loose.

Fog lights keeps blowing fuses

Obviously a short somewhere. Check sockets for corrosion, rust etc where current could be traveling across, as well as take a look at wiring into rear if you can get to it. One other thing you could try to isolate, would be to try one bulb in at a time, perhaps one will cause fuse to blow & other won't, which will give you a reference point to start looking.

How to replace fog light bulb on 2001 hyundai 300xg

Replaced from the back side. Two ways to do this. 1. move the wheel well liner partially out of the way to get to the bulb & connector.
    2. Remove the headlamp assy above the fog lamp bulb you wish to replace (pass side is easier than the driver's side because of the engine intake ducting on that side)

98 jeep tj, dash light/taillights/licence plate light don't work

disconnect head lights, and replace fuse. Then turn the light back on to see if it blow a fuse again. if not, plug on light in at a time. You might have a bad headlight???? then unplug that one if nothing happens. Then plug the other one in. It could also be a bad taillight bulb. I have had bad tail light bulbs. Do all of them, one at a time.

    Changing fog light bulb

I just replaced the fog light bulb on my 2008 Azera. I went under the car and removed two screws from the protective shield. I pulled down the shield and reached up and turned the fog light socket and pulled it out of the housing, remembering which side the wires were on and removed the old bulb (Don't touch the new bulb with your hand) and replaced it with the new bulb. The job took less then 15 minutes
