Re: forgot n73 phone lock
Default code for Nokias is 12345. This will work if you did not change access code. If you set up your own access code, you can recover the code by connecting to computer or using a file manager. You can download Fileman here. After installing file manager check the folder C:\System\mmcstore . Rename file mmcstore.txt and send it to another mobile or to your PC via bluetooth or USB, open it and there you will find the password.
Here is also a reset procedure that works on some Nokia, I do not know if it is good for 6300. Beware, by using reset below you will delete all data stored in phone memory, even phone numbers if they are stored in phone memory: Take the SIM card out. Make sure your phone battery is fully charged. Press* 3 sendat the same time and turn the phone on. Keep this two buttons pressed until the reset screen appears. Wait some time to reset. Switch phone back on.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

If you need the SIM Pin number to switch the phone on, then you have to enter any Pin number 4/5 times, then the phone will request a PUK number. This number was on the plastic card that your SIM card was attached to. If you don't have it, only your Network Service Provider can supply it to you.
If it's the Security code you need, to get into certain settings IE. erasing received calls, missed calls, timers etc... the Nokia default is 12345 if you didn't change it, but if you did change it and you've forgotten it, let me know, I'll tell you how to retrieve it.
there is no way to get your password back...
just format your phone and this will remove the password option....but you will loost all the data stored on your phone....but data on MMC will be safe...
All the Best.

The method of performing a hard-format, i.e resetting it completely to factory defaults and removing all data, is as follows:
Switch off the phone.
Hold down the following three buttons: Green (call answer) button, * button, and '3' button
While holding these buttons, press the power button and switch on the phone
When the message 'Formatting' appears on the screen, release all of the buttons
Note that you shouldn't switch the phone off or remove the battery when performing either of these operations, and it's advised that the handset has a reasonable amount of battery charge before performing a format/reset. As data will be lost, you are advised to perform a backup first.
If this method doesn't work you probably will need to go to a Nokia Service Centre and have your phone flashed!
