If this is only on CNN, then it is website specific, and nothing to do with your PC. To verify, try a different site, say YouTube or BBC, etc and check. If they are OK, then it is a fault with the CNN broadcast and there isn't much you can do about it.

Should you experience the same issue on the other sites as well, you may have to update the sound and video driver. You can easily do a Google for your specific sound/video cards and obtain a download, or select the "update driver" button from within the device manager.

Hope that helps! Should you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here.

Choppy Video? What do you mean choppy video? Is the video starting and stopping rather than playing continuous? If so, either you need more memory or the site you are watching the video from is slow. Also sometimes you line speed on the computer might be slow if you are watching the video online.

How does the video play if you played a DvD in your computer? If it plays the DvD without stalling, then your problem is more than like the site you are watching or the line speed as you stream the video.

pen the Control panel 2. Open the "Sounds and Audio Devices" icon. 3. Verify the "Place volume icon in the taskbar" checkbox is checked. If this option is not available or is grayed out, skip to the next section of this document. 4. If you were able to check this box, click ok and close out of this window and the Control Panel. 5. Double-click the sound icon in the Systray and verify that all the sound volumes are mid-way or higher.
Check Windows services. Right Click My Computer and Manage. Choose Services and Application > Services. Choose "Windows Audio" and set to Automatic and Start. Now next you can do is If you open control panel & click device manager the window that opens will show a list of all installed hardware. Look for anything with an exclamation mark beside it, or to do with sound. If you see anything, right click it, check it isn't Disabled then select "Properties." The next window should have some tabs along the top, the one you are looking for is "Driver," you should now see an "Update driver" button. Check ur sound card information by doing this Click on start menu Click on Run Type dxdiag, enter Click on the sound tab There is button of test direct sound click on this check if there is sound Check ur registry. Check if the sound registry key is enabled or disabled. There could be an error in registry, run registry cleaner reg in out to scan for errors.

Adobe Flash Player stops and starts in all browsers

This is what TouTube has to say:
: Choppy video If a video doesn't play continuously, it may be due to your connection speed. You'll need a broadband connection with at least 500+Kbps for the best viewing experience. Another possible reason for choppy video playback is that our servers are experiencing high traffic. If this is the case, there's not much you can do. However, we are continuously adding servers to keep up with demand and improve your experience on our site. It's also possible that your video download speed is slow or inconsistent. In this case, you can try pausing the video until the entire stream is downloaded and then playing the video. Occasionally, an incomplete copy of a video can get stuck in your cache and never fully download. You can re-attempt the download by clearing your browser's cache. You'll find steps on how to do this listed here. if(document.getElementById('kb_ie7') != null) showLayer('kb_ie7'); if(document.getElementById('kb_ie7_win') != null) showLayer('kb_ie7_win'); if(document.getElementById('z_ie7') != null) toggleZippy('z_ie7'); if(document.getElementById('z_ie7_win') != null) toggleZippy('z_ie7_win'); if(document.getElementById('kb_ie') != null) showLayer('kb_ie'); if(document.getElementById('kb_ie_win') != null) showLayer('kb_ie_win'); if(document.getElementById('z_ie') != null) toggleZippy('z_ie'); if(document.getElementById('z_ie_win') != null) toggleZippy('z_ie_win'); if(document.getElementById('kb_win')) showLayer('kb_win'); if(document.getElementById('z_win')) toggleZippy('z_win'); if(document.getElementById('kb_winvista')) showLayer('kb_winvista'); if(document.getElementById('z_winvista')) toggleZippy('z_winvista'); if(document.getElementById('kb_ZA')) showLayer('kb_ZA'); if(document.getElementById('z_ZA')) toggleZippy('z_ZA'); if(document.getElementById('kb_non_US')) showLayer('kb_non_US'); if(document.getElementById('z_non_US')) toggleZippy('z_non_US');
