The easiest way to troubleshoot your problem is to connect your laptop to an external monitor. If the lines on the laptop screen don't appear on the monitor, then you know you need to replace your screen and screen inverter.

If the lines appear on the external monitor as well, then your video card on the motherboard of the laptop is failing and you'll need a new motherboard or want to consider a new laptop, depending on the repair cost.

Well it is possible to install a new screen relatively easily... It is a bit of a mission, Ya need to get a replacement screen & driver board and do the reverse procedure from removal. A screen can be got from say, Ebay, or the net. Otherwise get a reputable place to do it for you.

This must surely be a problem with your monitor, because you say that you see the white screen while boot up. If this is a graphic driver issue, you may have the problem after booting up in windows. Since its been only a month old laptop, the product must be in warranty for sure. Take away any CDs in the drive, any USB drives and see if this white screen appears. Let us know.

try a live cd and if it doeasn't work on it then ur screeen is dead.

if you tap the back of screen and it goes on and off chances are its loose ribbon cable ,
every time you open and close lid , it will tug on it a bit, if the light goes off then inverter problem

My laptop got problem with the interface the screen appear like gray.

Have you tried pressing F8 on boot-up and log into safe mode under administrator, no password, and right click on any empty space on the desktop, left click on properties, left click on settings, select a lower resolution,( e.g. 1024X768 ) select apply, select ok, reboot, log in as normal

you have a loose connection, good luck....
